Roles and Responsibilities


[Management Team]

Community Director (Manager of Managers, Manages Community)

The role of the Community Director is to ensure overall well being of the community and make decisions for the betterment of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Make community-wide decisions.
  • Delegate tasks to administrators.
  • Have the final say for all decisions, including community and administration.
  • Investigate all internal affairs issues.

Lead Administrator (Manager)

The role of lead administrators are the primary leaders. They have more depth in understanding the day to day operations of the community and have a power of say in administration decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Are the primary administrators to receive tasks from the Community Director.
  • Implementing and updating policies and procedures.
  • May delegate tasks to other administrators and form teams to complete these.
  • Have a well rounded grasp of what is going on in the community and players.
  • Readily available to answer administration related questions from lower administrators.
  • Manage the administrators by leading, mentoring, guiding admin situations, monitoring large scale events.

 


[Game Administration Team]

Senior Administrator (Partial Manager, Special Management Tasks)

The role of a senior administrator, is the same as administrators, with a few distinctions.

Responsibilities

  • Have higher authority over regular administrators when in active situations.
  • Implementing and updating policies and procedures.
  • May often have tasks delegated to them.
  • Have added access and abilities for server or region changes.

Administrator (Non-Manager, Special Tasks)

The role of an administrator is the standard "problem-solver". They are taking majority of reports, helping and guiding players and are the front-line of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all standard reports.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to policies and procedures.
  • Are responsible for handling private character kill requests.
  • Are responsible for monitoring and providing evaluations of Administrators and Moderators.
  • Help the management team keep updated on server's thoughts and attitude as well as compliments and concerns by passing the information up the chain/by appropriate channels.
  • Not be afraid to speak to higher administration teams directly if they have a question or suggestion to avoid miscommunication.
  • Assist Moderators as they learn.

Moderator (Non-Manager)

The role of an moderator is the front line support with a sword and shield, they standard "problem-solver". They are taking majority of reports, helping and guiding players and are the front-line of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all standard reports.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to policies and procedures.
  • Help the upper administration team keep updated on server's thoughts and attitude as well as compliments and concerns by passing the information up the chain/by appropriate channels.
  • Not be afraid to speak to higher administration teams directly if they have a question or suggestion to avoid miscommunication.

 


[Support Team]

Senior Support (Non-Manager)

The role of a senior support, is the same as support but they have been around longer and provide guidance to other support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Same as Support.
  • Assist Support Staff as they learn.

Support (Non-Manager)

The role of support is the front line support, helping new players and answering questions they may have.

Responsibilities

  • Answering questions in-game, on the forums and in Discord.
  • Supporting and teaching new players to ensure they have a welcoming expperience.
  • Help the administration team keep updated on server's thoughts and attitude as well as compliments and concerns by passing the information up the chain/by appropriate channels.
  • Keeping up to date on changelogs, new features and sharing this information with other players.
  • Reviewing new player applications.
  • Not be afraid to speak to administration teams directly if they have a question or suggestion to avoid miscommunication.

 


[Development Team]

Lead Developer (Manager, Primary Development Manager)

The role of the Lead Developer is to ensure overall well being of development decisions, code repositories, mentor new developers and provide expert advise in decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the developers by leading, mentoring, delegating and assisting.
  • Are responsible for triaging ideas, suggestions, bugs and issues, as well as delegating said issues.
  • Developing mechanics, new and existing mechanics to help assist with the roleplay.
  • Actively fix bugs and exploits reported via the forums.
  • Have a well rounded grasp of what is going on in the community and players.
  • Readily available to answer development related questions from administrators & council.
  • Initiate and be involved in discussions to provide a developers insight.

Developer (Non-Manager, Developer)

The role of the Developer is to contribute and work with other developers on development decisions, code repositories, and provide expert advise in decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Developing mechanics, new and existing mechanics to help assist with the roleplay.
  • Actively fix bugs and exploits reported via the forums.
  • Have a well rounded grasp of what is going on in the community and players.
  • Readily available to answer development related questions from administrators & council.
  • Initiate and be involved in discussions big or small, to provide a developers insight.

Trial Developer (Non-Manager, On Trial)

Trial Developers are essentially the same as an Developer except they are on a trial period. They may have limited abilities and access to perform tasks and should work with developers on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Same as Developer.
  • Ask questions if ever unsure.
